Tour Information
What will we see and do?

Tours begin in our beautiful Visitors Center building, where we have water, coffee (usually), and restrooms.  Our knowledgeable curator will lead you on a stroll of the grounds, identifying plants, trees, birds, and insects along with their uses and habits.  It is very much hands on, using as many senses—including touch, smell, and taste—as possible.  The natural history of the land and its uses and relation to historical events is discussed.  When participants are fully engaged, the tour can last as long as two hours.  For those unable to stand or walk for extended lengths of time, we have a buggy with seating for 3 plus the driver.  There is no minimum number for a tour.
